Ansloos, Jeffrey, PhD R. Psych

Bio

Jeffrey Ansloos is an educator, researcher, and policy advisor in the areas of Indigenous youth violence prevention, mental health, and Indigenous and human rights. Jeffrey is the author of The Medicine of Peace: Indigenous Youth Resisting Violence and Decolonizing Healing (Fernwood, 2017). Jeffrey is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Human and Social Development at University of Victoria. He teaches, researches, and supervises students in the School of Child and Youth Care. Jeffrey has worked in the human service sector for over a decade, and draws on interdisciplinary research and practice experience. He has worked as a youth worker, community organizer, non-profit manager, psychologist, and international development program leader. Jeffrey is a graduate of University of Manitoba, Fuller Graduate Schools, and Trinity Western University, holding a BA in Counseling, MA in Refugee Mental Health, MA in Theology and Ethics, and PhD in Clinical Psychology.
